TORONTO - July 15, 2015 - PRLog -- It is now day 4 of the Pan Am games and host country Canada is leading all nations with 32 medals. The Canadians got off to an amazing start — racking up 10 Gold Medals thus far. Woohoo!

Canada set the tone for the games with the first medal won - yes, gold - in Women's Kayak in the 4-person sprint!

On Saturday, the Canadian Synchronizing team won 2 gold medals (Duet, Team)

On Sunday, the Canadian Men’s and Women’s Rugby snatched home gold.

Emily Batty won gold on Sunday for Women’s Cycling Mountain. When she was asked about her victory she responded, “It’s really just pushing each other, it doesn’t matter who’s first on the day as long as it’s a Canadian. So we got gold and silver which was amazing.”

Raphael Gagne also won gold for Men’s Cycling Mountain. After his finish he commented, “I think I played it very smart, I paced myself well, I drank well, and I ate well and it played into my favor. I’ve always been able to start strong but sometimes my finishes were not as strong. But definitely today I finished really, really strong so I’m happy with this.”

So far so good for team Canada. Let’s just hope the Canadians can maintain the lead with the most medals. Go Canada Go!
