Derek St Holmes, singer of Nugent band, goes solo in MN 8/21 and reunites with WhitfordWith the Ted Nugent band taking time off, the singer of the band, Derek St Holmes, who co-wrote and sang "Stranglehold" and more is filling his schedule with a solo date in Savage, MN August 21st and also reuniting with Brad Whitford of Aerosmith.
By: MW Productions Derek St. Holmes provided the vocals that launched the Motor City Madman, otherwise known as Ted Nugent. St. Holmes is the original rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist for Nugent. Those are St. Holmes' prominent vocals on "Stranglehold" "Unlike shows we do with Ted, (Nugent) there will be less politics, chuckled St. Holmes. "You can be on any side of the aisle to enjoy what we do at this show". What St Holmes has done is become of the most distinguishible yet unheralded voices in Rock and Roll. St Holmes will perform not only the Nugent classics but some other of his original material that you wouldn't normally hear while he was sharing the stage with Nugent. Along with his solo performance in Savage, MN on Friday August 21st, St Holmes is also reuniting with Aerosmith's Brad Whitford. The two combined for a 1981 album "Whitfield/St Holmes". The two plan on a tour beginning in November after Aerosmith wraps up its Blue Army tour St Holmes has come to Minnesota at least once a year for the past six years and is looking forward to a return visit in August. "I like it better when it isn't snowing. I was here (MN) the night the Dome collapsed (December 10, 2009). I might have to try and get out on that Lake (Minnetonka) For tickets and more information' http://www.eventbrite.com/ Mike Woodley MW Productions 612-386-0082 End
