Computer Weekly’s Top 50 influential women in UK IT 2015 recognises FDM COO, Sheila Flavell

FDM’s COO, Sheila Flavell, has been recognised in Computer Weekly’s Top 50 Influential Women in UK IT 2015 amongst many well-known figures in tech, at an impressive number 13.
 
LONDON - July 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Computer Weekly recently announced its fourth annual list of the most influential women in UK IT extending it, for the first time, to 50 female leaders in technology from 25. The 50 inspirational women featured are role models for diversity and success among the tech community.

Flavell is the Chief Operating Officer of FDM, a professional services firm with a focus on IT. She played an integral role in the Group’s flotation on AIM in 2005 and was a key instigator of the management buy-out of the group in 2010 and the subsequent float onto the main FTSE market in June 2014. Flavell heavily promotes diversity in the workplace and spearheads FDM’s global Women in IT initiative. As a result, circa 50% of the senior management team at FDM are women.

The aim of this annual list is to focus on the role of women in tech by recognising the most vital roles that female IT leaders play in the UK’s economy.
