India's best companies to work for 2015: How organisations from 11-50 ranking stack up

BANGALORE, India - July 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The Economic Times and Great Place To Work Institute recently concluded its annual study aimed at identifying the best companies to work for in India in 2015. Over 700 organisations across 20 industries applied for assessment of the study - India's Best Companies to Work for 2015. As part of this assessment, we studied an organisation through two different lenses.

Firstly, perceptions of the organisations' employees were measured by surveying their employees using a comprehensive questionnaire based on the Institute's research. Over 1,80,000 employees were surveyed in all, making this the largest and most comprehensive survey of workplace culture in corporate India.

Secondly, strength of people related management practices of the organisations was assessed using a framework developed by the Institute.

In the 2015 edition of top 100 best companies to work for in India, only 22 organisations are new (first time) entrants, while the rest have all featured on this list in past years. These companies may not have featured every year, but they do not quit in their quest to be a great workplace.

It is interesting to note that on an average, employee perceptions have not changed since last two years. Across all organisations that participated in the study, around 73% of the employees' perceptions about their workplaces were found to be positive on an aggregate across various statements in the employee survey.
