Nerd Nite Detroit Hosts Transportation-themed Event

DETROIT - July 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Editor’s Note:

         WHAT: Nerds, wonks, and geeks from around Metro Detroit are invited to Nerd Nite Gets Around to explore the nature of transportation in and around Detroit. The event will feature interactive talks on alternative intersections (i.e. the “Michigan Left”); the potential of light rail to bring people together and generate economic growth; transit along the renewed Detroit riverfront, and more. Live demonstrations will include a drone flyover.

         WHO: Nerd Nite Detroit, in conjunction with a number of guest speakers, including: Michael Schrader, PhD Candidate in Civil Engineering at Wayne State University; Sommer Woods, Director of External Relations for M1 Rail; Adrianna Jordan, Principal Planner at Freshwater Transit; Todd Scott, Coordinator of Detroit Greenways, and others.

         WHEN: Thursday, July 16 at 6:30pm
