The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force Challenges Runners to "Choose Your Mission"

POOLER, Ga. - July 14, 2015 - PRLog -- (POOLER, GA) Start training now and get ready to Choose Your Mission! The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is announcing the 6^th Annual Flying Fortress 5K and, for the first time, the Inaugural Mighty 8K on November 21, 2015.

The added run isn’t the only change this year. All runners will be electronically timed for the most accurate finish, there will be a unique t-shirt design for each run, and after the run athletes 21 and older are invited to have a beer in the one-of-a-kind Pub in the Museum.

“We decided to shake things up this year,” says President and CEO, Henry Skipper. “Adding the 8K gives runners a new challenge. We also want to make this a day for everyone and from the Kids Run in the morning to the Pub after the race, this won’t just be a run, it will be an experience!”

The Mighty Eighth is bringing back the popular Kids Run at 8:15 am. The dog-tag awards will be passed out by a group of World War II Veterans. The run will start at 8:30 am in front of the museum in Pooler and will cross over the JCB property.
