SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - July 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Dr. Todd Austin and his wife Eugena, both from Austin Family Chiropractic and Cold Laser Therapy Clinic in Virden, IL are staying busy on the Springfield Foxes sideline again for their 5th straight year along with Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Saadiq El-Amin who has returned for his 3rd season with the club.  That's because they remain the official sideline Doctor of Chiropractic and Licensed Massage Therapist respectively for the semi-pro Great Midwest Football League franchise in 2015.    Dr. El-Amin actually brings a resume to the Foxes that includes previous work with the New York Knicks of the NBA.

(middle) from Austin Family Chiropractic in Virden are pictured here with Springfield orthopedic surgeon Dr. Saadiq El-Amin from SIU School of Medicine, who is now in his 3rd season with the Springfield Foxes.

The Foxes are currently in their 6th season as a franchise.  This season has brought about some changes.  There are a some new faces and talent on the team.  The Foxes will once again be playing all home games this season at beautiful Sacred Heart Griffin Stadium in Springfield.  All Foxes home games will be at 6 P.M.  After 4 seasons in the Chicago-based MidStates Football League or MSFL [where the 2012 Foxes finished 11-2 and went on to win the Eastern Conference of the then 18 team league before succumbing to the Racine Raiders in the league championship game by a mere 5 points], the Foxes are now in the St. Louis-based GMFL.  The Foxes are off to a slow start in 2015, as they are now 3-4 overall and 2-4 in the GMFL.  As the Capital City's premier 11-man football team, the Foxes have 2 more home games coming up on July 18th and August 1st.

The team from Austin Family Chiropractic will be on the sidelines for all home  games (including any potential playoff games) with the sole exception of the 8-1-15 contest.  Dr. Austin has been a diehard football fan since he was a youngster.  Dr. Todd has been an Associate Member of the Professional Football Chiropractic Society since 2011.  The Foxes are actually a semi-professional team with the age of their players ranging from the late teens to the early forties. Some of their players have previous NCAA college football experience.

Dr. Todd will be performing chiropractic care (spine and extremity adjustments), cold laser therapy to help reduce inflammation and improve range of motion quicker and advanced taping techniques (including kinesiotaping and leukotaping) on the sidelines once again.  Austin will be performing all of the above as well as Biomat far infrared thermotherapy on the players in his Virden clinic during normal business hours as well.  Dr. Todd states that "The past few seasons I've dealt mainly with Foxes players knees, shoulders, foot and ankle, low back, neck, calf, hamstring and quadriceps issues both on the sidelines and at Austin Family Chiropractic during the week".  Eugena has also kept busy during the 2015 season thus far providing therapeutic massages primarily on shoulders, low backs, calves and hamstrings.  Since the team doesn't have an official athletic trainer (ATC), Dr. Todd and Eugena as well as Dr. El-Amin will all be performing taping, icing and helping players to stretch out again this season.

Dr. Todd has also had the pleasure of co-managing a fair amount of pre and post surgical knee pain cases involving Springfield Foxes players who have needed surgeries for a torn ACL, MCL, Medial Meniscus or Patellar Tendon.  Utilizing a combination of Biomat Therapy and Cold Laser Therapy along with surgery and P.T. helps to get these players back to 100% as soon as humanly possible.

Here is a testimonial video from Foxes player #77 Andrew Reich.  Andrew recovered and returned to play in record time after a severe knee injury thanks to help from Springfield Foxes Healthcare Personnel Dr. Todd, Eugena & Dr. Saadiq!  https://youtu.be/baIQzsj-OJk
