Follow on Google News | "The Real Bikers of Atlanta" Reality TV Show Gains Major Support From Black Bikers Community Across The U.SBy: Osage Phoenix Productions Following the lives of cast members, the show will uncover how family, career and a love for motorcycling are balanced. Since biker (motorcycle) The Real Bikers of Atlanta is being created as a partnership between the Atlanta based production company and the actual organizations that the show will highlight. Osage Phoenix has expressed that they are not just coming in, filming and telling the side of the story they want told. The goal is a true look at the actual reality of these groups and their members. This sentiment is supported by the fact that some cast members and leaders in the biking community have been tapped as consultants for the show’s production. V-103 Radio personality and member of Rare Breed, one of the premiere motorcycle clubs in Atlanta, if not the U.S, Greg Street supports this move saying, “We have to continue to form partnerships or we can give up now”. Rare Breed has 12 chapters spread across the United States. There is little room for exploitation or misrepresentation in this purpose driven set-up, where the entire production process has the input of those portrayed. It has recently become even more necessary to take this approach. There are talks of another production house with similar intentions for this original show idea. This particular production house has been receiving negative feedback as of late, after releasing a reality project that depicted its cast in an obsessively damaging light. After protest, their show was pulled from its network. In contrast, Osage Phoenix Productions hopes that their strategy will produce a positive program with all the excitement and emotion to entertain, while educating. Since Osage is a black-owned business they are invested in the overall success of the show. This has helped The Real Bikers of Atlanta to gain some significant support so far. Marcell “Big Cell” Tillman is Executive Liaison for Kings of The South Motorcycle Club, which has chapters in Georgia, Florida and North Carolina. He has said that The Real Bikers of Atlanta show is “. . . definitely needed. For me, it's all about the real reality of who we are and what we stand for as people”. Atlanta biker Cherise "Cali" Samuels, a successful insurance professional and member of one of the hottest Harley Davidson Female motorcycle clubs, Harleys Angels, said “This will give the viewers the opportunity to see how black bikers give back to the communities through charitable bike rides and fund raisers”. Community, charity and comradery, featuring these aspects will surely contrast with any negative perception of biking in general, or of catty over-edited reality shows that alter the truth for the most base (and sometimes vulgar) entertainment value. Like any candid look at real life, this show will include its share of action and drama. The Real Bikers of Atlanta will captivate audiences while uncovering the tension that arises when new members want to join an organization, or when disagreements form amongst the ranks. At the end of the day, the connection these women share with each other will shine through. “I am pleased to see that they are showing a segment of the bike culture that others don’t know. I am pleased with the aim of the show and the willingness and desire to show the side most people don’t know about”, says show supporter Sugar Bear of the renowned Sugar Bear’s Chopper Shop in Los Angeles. However foreign the world of black and women motorcycling may be to general audiences, this show’s look at the bikers on and off the road will prove that we all have more in common than we initially think. More details about the cast and release of this soon to be hit show will come soon. End
