Starter Studio Tech Accelerator Welcomes Fourth Class of Starters

Orlando-based technology accelerator selects startups to participate in an intensive three-month program that teaches how to progress from idea to “sellable” product and provides access to a network of business experts.

ORLANDO, Fla. - July 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Starter Studio has selected ten start-up companies from a field of 72 applicants for its fourth accelerator class. Class begins August 3, 2105, at the Canvs coworking space in downtown Orlando. This immersive experience is comprised of an education program based on proven “lean startup” methods and a network of seasoned business and technology leaders that will mentor the startup teams.

“We are thrilled at the quantity of applicants, more than doubling from the last class, but also at the quality and seriousness of intent of these applicants,” said Donna Mackenzie, Starter Studio’s Executive Director. “It reflects not only the growing reputation of our program, but also the vibrancy of Central Florida’s tech startup community.”

Companies selected are:

AKQYS LLC: Designed for legal uses, including personal property security control solutions for monitoring, AKQYS is the first wireless visual surveillance security system for luggage.

B-rollStock: Offers a B-roll stock footage library and expert community.

Diy.Fund: Provides do-it-yourself tools to enable anyone to invest professionally.

The class culminates in November with a Demo Day where the teams present their products to an audience of hundreds technology and investment leaders from the region.
