YBCA founder Brian McCormick heads to Kenya and Uganda for basketball clinics

SANTA FE, N.M. - July 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Brian McCormick, the founder of the Youth Basketball Coaches Association and author of The 21st Century Basketball Practice, will travel to Nairobi, Kenya, Jinga, Uganda, and Kampala, Uganda in August to work with basketball coaches and players. McCormick, who has advised the Another Level Sports Association and All.One Academy in Nairobi over the past five years, will team with these organizations for the camps and clinics.

While in Africa, McCormick will work with players and coaches from the X-Street Uganda Basketball Academy, JKL Lady Dolphins Basketball in Kampala, Uganda, FEBA Elite Boys, All.One Girls Basketball Academy, and ALSA youth basketball coaches.

The purpose of the trip is to assist ALSA and All.One Academy founder Harrison Kaudia with his programs, which include providing opportunities for boys and girls to play basketball and earn scholarships to private schools and coach education programs from the grassroots through university levels.

McCormick, who has conducted clinics in China, Ghana, India, Greece, Macedonia, South Africa, and Trinidad & Tobago, will have an opportunity to see basketball firsthand in Kenya and Uganda and evaluate the development structures for players. This experience will enable McCormick and the YBCA to enhance the assistance that it offers to ALSA, All.One, and others in terms of coaching and player development.
