Industry Conglomerate Celebrates NYFW: Men's

NEW YORK - July 10, 2015 - PRLog -- On Wednesday July 15, 2015 at THE DL, A Fashion Affair- NYFW: Men’s S/S16 will host an invite only event celebrating New York’s first fashion week for the menswear industry.  Produced by a conglomerate of fashion and entertainment industry professionals, The Couture Man, Harrington & Lane and Starbaby Enterprises, the event features power industry networking, a style segment featuring clothing from local popular boutiques, and a special presentation of THE COUTURE MAN EXCELLENCE AWARD to 5 prominent contributors to the menswear industry.

The group decided to bring an intimate event for menswear that is ​independently produced and delivers the same standards as other fashion week seasons.

The event will bring together fashion industry veterans, New York notables and socialites, tastemakers and fashion media.

The style segment titled “From Boys to Men,” will feature a presentation of various New York boutiques and showrooms styled by professional lifestyle concierge and luxury consultant LaMar “The Couture Man” Wright.  Hair is provided by Federico’s Salon and makeup is provided by Italian brand 4VOO with artistry professional Brittany Ward as Lead.

The evening’s highlight will be the recognition of individuals who have contributed tremendously to the menswear industry with THE COUTURE MAN EXCELLENCE AWARD.

THE COUTURE MAN EXCELLENCE AWARD recipients for 2015 include: Jhane Barnes; Fran Boller- Exec. VP Haddad and Apparel Director, Nike’s Jordan Division; David Chu, DC Design International LLC, and Founder of Nautica; John Jones former MR-Magazine Fashion Director, President of FIT Alumni Association and Berny Martin- Founder of Midwest Fashion Week, Men’s Professional Wear designer.

The COUTURE MAN EXCELLENCE AWARD represents a career within the menswear industry that has been made to measure, unique and exquisite.

Her background spans over a decade as freelance Entertainment & Educational Consultant under the name The Bizness Girl where she has worked with countless celebrities, brands, institutions and organizations including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
