County of Bruce to Sponsor Free Paint Giveaway and Household Hazardous Waste Event

July 9, 2015 - PRLog -- The County of Bruce will host two household hazardous waste collections this Saturday, July 11th. Residents are encouraged to bring their outdated or unwanted household chemicals including paints, pesticides, aerosols, batteries, oil, antifreeze, cleaners, propane, pool chemicals and pharmaceuticals.  Excluded items are infectious wastes including sharps, smoke detectors and explosive wastes including ammunition and flares. Only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted.

Collections are scheduled as follows:

1. South Bruce Municipal Office 25 Gordon Street Teeswater, Ontario from 8am to 11am

2. Kincardine Public Works Yard 140 Valentine Avenue Kincardine, ON from 1pm to 4pm

Photech Environmental Solutions will conduct the collections. The first 50 cars will each receive a gallon of Loop Premium Recycled Paint. Loop Recycled Paint is refurbished from leftover paint collected at MHSW events.
