IDSI Employee Duncan Iaria Wins an Emmy

One of Intelligent Decision Systems, Inc. (IDSI)’s Interactive Designer/ Developers, Duncan Iaria, won an Emmy for his work on Dean Rusk - At the Heartbeat of History.
 
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - July 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Intelligent Decision Systems, Inc. (IDSI) is proud to announce that Duncan Iaria won an Emmy at the 2015 Southeast Emmy Awards for his audio work with Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) on the documentary, Dean Rusk - At the Heartbeat of History. Mr. Iaria’s specific role was working on the post-production sound for the film. His role entailed recreating all of the audio for historical footage, as well as recording all the sounds for the live action recreations, or “foley.” For the foley recording, Mr. Iaria assisted in setting up the microphones as well as recording the live sounds. In recognition of his efforts, Mr. Iaria was awarded an Emmy in the category of Audio – Live or Post-Production.

The Southeast Emmys are held by the Southeast chapter of National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), one of nineteen chapters throughout the United States. Television markets represented by the Southeast chapter include Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Asheville, North Carolina.

A talented member of IDSI’s Performance Systems Division (PSD), Mr. Iaria earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (BFA) in Animation, and a Master’s of Fine Arts (MFA) in Interactive Design and Game Development from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has a background in game design, and has used this talent to enrich several active IDSI projects. Mr. Iaria’s creativity and skill at programming and design have served him well in his career with IDSI. Tom Archibald, IDSI’s PSD lead, had the following to say about Mr. Iaria: “We are extremely grateful and proud to have Duncan as a member of our team.
