Halff Associates Announces Hiring of Ben Cernosek, PE

RICHARDSON, Texas - July 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nation’s leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, is proud to announce the addition of Ben Cernosek, PE, who will advise Halff on municipality issues as a valuable resource for the firm’s public works and pavement management projects.

Mr. Cernosek has 29 years of municipal engineering experience serving the City of Dallas. Most recently, he was the assistant director of the City of Dallas Street Services directing all Street Repair Division services. His responsibilities included managing the department’s major maintenance group that performs street repair and construction citywide; managing contracts for street repair and preventive maintenance; leading the department’s winter weather, storm, and fire related emergency response; and overseeing their special event barricade service and support. Prior to becoming the assistant director of street services, Mr. Cernosek spent 11 years as the senior program manager of the City of Dallas’ Public Works and Transportation construction management division.

The White Rock Lake dredging project is one notable project Mr. Cernosek has managed. He also established the pavement cut and repair standards manual for the City and managed the development of the current street cut permitting system. He led the development of the 532 lane mile Street Repair Division maintenance work plan for fiscal year 2015, the largest planned program work plan to date.

Mr. Cernosek received his civil engineering degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and is a licensed professional engineer.
