CONNAUGHT PLACE, India - July 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Tata Housing, the real estate division of the Tata Group is rapidly expanding its presence pan-India in metros, Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. The lure of building a gated housing project in the national capital however, remains an elusive dream for most developers. Tata Housing has managed to make this a reality. Tata plans to develop 4-5 luxury villas on the one acre plot. The esteemed property was purchased by the Group for Rs 218 crores.

When Tata Housing purchased the Bungalow on 2-Hailey Road,  the owners were entered in a litigation over the property. They agreed to sell the plot to a prestigious name as the Tatas. The most special feature of the property is that the location of the property is not in the Lutyen’s Bungalow Zone, which exempts it from the stringent rules applicable for raising buildings in LBZ. The last time apartments were sold in and around Connaught Place were in 2000, when real estate firm Ansal built a residential complex, Upasana, on the same street.

The 2-Hailey Road address is within five hundred metres from Connaught Place, and is right in the heart of Delhi. The Company is already in consultation with top interior designers in France and Italy, for the project. The existing bungalow will be razed to make way for 4-5 super-luxury signature villas. The villas will vary in size from 800 sq. yards to 1500 sq.yards.The villas will have private pools, landscaped gardens and terraces, double-height patios, jacuzzis, private elevators, verandahs and sun decks. There is also a provision for home theater, gym, spa and library. This will come at a price of Rs 200 - Rs 250 crore, these villas will set new benchmarks for gated living and will be, arguably, the country’s priciest properties.

Tata Housing also has its projects in the NCR in Gurgaon, known as Gurgaon Gateway and Primanti Garden Estate.
