A Tribute to Platinum R&B Artist: Jill Scott

BOSTON - July 8, 2015 - PRLog -- WHAT: On Thursday, July 23rd, 2015, Beat Brasserie (aka Beat Hotel), located in Cambridge’s Harvard Square, presents a tribute to platinum R&B artist Jill Scott with an evening of food and drink specials and live performance from Liz Tobias featuring creative takes on some of the singer/songwriters’ most iconic work.

A platinum R&B artist, model and actress; Jill Scott released her debut album in 2000 titled Who Is Jill Scott.  Scott has attained great success since, including winning a 2005 Grammy for Best Urban/Alternative R&B Performance for Cross My Mind and guest starring in various films and television shows. To honor the iconic musician, Liz Tobias will take the stage at Beat Brasserie for a memorable tribute from 9:30PM – 1:00AM. Liz Tobias is a seasoned jazz vocalist who draws a vast audience with her charismatic take on music old, and new. An Australian native with a unique mix of soul and sharp technique, Tobias will pay tribute at what is sure to be a soulful evening of music.

While enjoying the music, guests are welcome to a full dinner with selections such as the Sweet Chili Baby Back Ribs ($15), Crispy Tuna Spring Roll ($12.50) with avocado, tomato, wasabi, rice and soy, and Roasted Haddock ($24) with spinach, white bean puree, lemon, za’atar spice and capers. Pair a meal with one of the 36 artisanal American wines on tap from their state-of-the-art tap system including exclusive selections such as the Anne Amie Winery Pinot Blanc (Pinot Blanc), 2013 or the GP Wine’s “Empire Builder,” (Cabernet Sauvignon) 2012.  Prices vary on wine selections on tap.
