Follow on Google News | Pretty in pink law firm raises cash for charityA group of ladies from a Doncaster law firm raised over £1,000 by ditching their office wear in favour of pink tutus to get down and dirty in the Pretty Muddy race for life event.
By: Atherton Godfrey Lisa Hickin, one of the firm’s personal injury specialists, said: “I wanted to do what I could to help raise funds for the fight against cancer; I personally know the heartbreak it brings. I’ve previously run some half marathons and 10K’s for charity, but thought the Pretty Muddy challenge looked awesome. I emailed around the firm to see if one or two of the girls might be interested too, but was amazed at the enthusiasm; we ended up with a team of 15! We had an amazing day, filled with plenty of laughs and mud! Those that couldn’t take part in the challenge held cake sales and helped boost the fundraising by a fantastic £120. 00. I’d like to say a massive thank you to all the ladies in the team, to everyone who generously sponsored us and to those that helped through the cake sales. Together, their efforts have raised a brilliant total of £1008.62 for the charity.” Pictured (l to r) back row: Leah Watson, Lindsey Gaimster, Sara Williamson, Helen Meads, Georgia Hunt, Jodie Cook, Lauren Cooling, Jodie Harris and Rochelle Lambert.
