Versasec Releases vSEC:CMS T4.1 Smart Card Lifecycle Management

NEW YORK - July 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Versasec, the leader in smart card management systems, today announced the vSEC:CMS T-Series version 4.1. The new version's enhancements include features designed with the large community of active users in mind.

Versasec's vSEC:CMS products provide enterprises with all the software tools they need to administer and manage the lifecycle of smart cards securely and conveniently. Some of the new features in vSEC:CMS T4.1 include the following:

* New virtual smart card: vSEC:CMS Virtual Smart Card - two factor authentication using the trusted platform module (TPM) with support for Microsoft Windows 7 and later

* New user interface: larger lifecycle diagram, additional scrollbars, images for smart card readers, and form validation - all of which improve upon the vSEC:CMS user-friendly operator interface

* Management of non-smart card certificates (such as web server SSL certificates), providing control and management for the issuance and renewal of certificates across the organization

* New certificate authority connections:

 - neXus Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

 - Verizon UniCERT CA
