Attorney Shawn Seliger elected chairman of the advisory board of Legal Aid Service of Collier County

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - July 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Southwest Florida lawyer Shawn Seliger was recently elected chairman of the advisory board of the Legal Aid Service of Collier County for its 2015 term. Seliger plans to build on the success of the group's achievements and continue fulfilling its vital community service mission.

The Legal Aid Service of Collier County (www.collierlegalaid.org) provides free legal services to Collier County's most vulnerable residents, helping protect their jobs, health and families. Pro bono attorneys provide a critical community safety net by handling individual cases in family law, housing, consumer issues, employment, bankruptcy, and immigration, among others. Attorneys also often participate in free legal clinics and contribute financially to the Legal Aid program.

"I enjoy serving and supporting Legal Aid to help empower those in Collier County in need of civil legal assistance.

It is an honor to be elected chairman of our advisory board to help continue and cultivate the success of our organization. In addition to the advisory board of Legal Aid Service of Collier County, Seliger also serves on the board of the Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida and is past president of Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida.
