Technology Wellness Center Launches Online Solutions

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - July 7, 2015 - PRLog -- The Technology Wellness Center founded by Scottsdale clinical psychologist, Dr. Lisa Strohman, recently introduced an online membership program for parents. The program is an alternative option for those that cannot afford the time or financial commitment professional counseling services require. The membership will provide easy access to tools and resources for addressing technology overuse and addiction issues. It will also include an instructional e-book, “Unplug: raising kids in a technology addicted world,” written and due for release by Strohman and Technology Wellness Center Co-Founder, Dr. Melissa Westendorf.

“We are seeing an increase in anxiety, depression and suicide among young adults, teens and tweens, and technology is a contributing factor,” explains Strohman. “Parents need to be more proactive and establish healthy practices early on if they hope to raise well-adjusted and productive young adults.”

The membership includes access to a full technology assessment, Q&As with experts, educational videos, monitoring and managing tips and a community support forum.

“We see the challenges and issues families are facing,” said Strohman. “They feel helpless and we knew we needed to do something to help.”
