July 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Redwood City, California -- July 7, 2015 -- Alan Moonsoo Kim, CEO of edtech startup BeNative, today announced the opening of the BeNative Content Lab in Silicon Valley under director Jonathan Moore. This marks the company's first step in its global expansion efforts in the United States.

BeNative provides a global business English learning platform to corporations and customers throughout East Asia, specifically including China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. BeNative's business English courses are based on the video interviews and presentations of more than 100 American business leaders, including top executives from 3M, Box, and General Motors. These executives introduce their business models and share business strategies in English, where the content is then used by language analysts to create lessons and exercises.

BeNative plans to develop new content and proceed with a variety of projects in the

edtech innovation field with the help of local industry experts in education and IT in Silicon Valley. The strategic location at GSVlabs in Silicon Valley provides ample opportunity for growth and enrichment.

Moore said, “It’s very exciting for us to be developing such innovative and educational content with other experts here in Silicon Valley, the world’s leading hub for innovation. This lab will help BeNative continue its production of cutting edge content, and strengthen its presence as a global edtech company.”

GSVlabs’ Edtech Innovation Lab, located near Stanford University, provides focused content designed to help edtech companies grow and thrive. Nancy Lue, a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Graduate School of Education, serves as General Manager, and previously served as Senior Advisor and Acting Performance Improvement Officer of the U.S. Department of Education.

Pitch competition

BeNative will be hosting regular pitch competitions, the first to be held on July 8 at GSVlabs. The winning team will receive an all-inclusive trip for two to meet local investors in Japan and South Korea. Moore stated, “This is a great opportunity for the best up-and-coming startups in America to increase funding, and also share their ideas with the rest of the world.”
