Follow on Google News | SAFE Shelter Announces New Name and Unveils New LogoBy: Carriage Trade PR “We wanted to go into the next 35 years with a renewed vision of how to most effectively provide comprehensive services and outreach for all victims of domestic violence,” said Cheryl Branch, executive director. “SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services has been evolving over the years and will continue to do so to meet the ever changing needs of our clients.” The updated logo, designed by Pam Burgess of Pamela Burgess Designs LLC, pays homage to the original logo depicting a mother, child and a shelter; and includes the new name, along with a more modern, abstract feel and cleaner lines. A nine-year old boy who was staying in the shelter with his mother drew the original logo. “Regardless of the logo we use or any rebranding, the most important thing to remember about SAFE Shelter, in its long history here in Savannah, is that no one who has ever been active in any of its programs or services has been killed by her or his abusive partner,” reminded Branch. “We want the community and victims to know that we’re more than just a shelter.” This is the first rebranding of the organization in its 35-year history.
