Dan Smith Joins Cavignac & Associates as Risk Control Coordinator

SAN DIEGO - July 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Cavignac & Associates, a San Diego-based risk management and insurance brokerage firm, has hired Dan Smith as its risk control coordinator, announced Jeffrey W. Cavignac, CPCU, ARM, RPLU, president and principal of the San Diego-based risk management and commercial insurance brokerage firm.

         In his new position, Smith will be charged with various administrative duties that support the company’s Risk Control Department. Specifically, he will serve as the primary contact for clients and team members initiating or following up on risk management services, prepare and update materials for internal and external meetings, develop PowerPoint slide shows and hand-out materials, maintain client schedules of service, and ensure accurate billing for completed services.

         Prior to joining Cavignac & Associates, Smith served as the assistant office manager of American Discount Cruises in Englishtown, N.J., where he was employed for six years.  There he oversaw a 20-plus-person staff, accounts payable and receivable, employee payments and payroll.

         Earlier office administration experience includes three years as manger of the Rutgers University Student Legal Information Center in New Brunswick, N.J.  Smith graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Policy.

         Born and raised in Bloomfield N.J., Smith now resides in the San Diego community of Dulzura.  In his leisure time, he enjoys playing rugby.
