ANN TATLOCK WINS THIRD CHRISTY AWARD for “ONCE BEYOND A TIME;”

SIGNS CONTRACT WITH BRUNNEN-VERLAG, SECOND GERMAN PUBLISHER

ORLANDO, July 6,, 2015
It was a big week for Asheville author Ann Tatlock, who won her third Christy Award for fiction June 29, at the annual CBA awards dinner.  The award was in the Visionary category, for her most recent novel, “Once Beyond A Time,” set in Black Mountain, North Carolina.  Her two previous Christy awards (and another nomination) were in the historical fiction category.

The prestigious Christy Award is given annually to authors recommended by a panel appointed by the Christian Booksellers Association, and is not limited to Christian authors or publishers.  It is so named in recognition of Catherine Marshall’s beloved novel, “Christy.”

Late last week Tatlock also signed a contract with her second German publisher, Brunnen-Verlag, for the German-language rights to “Once Beyond A Time,” scheduled for early 2016.  Tatlock’s novels are also published in Europe in Danish, Dutch and Norwegian languages, and also in Indonesia.

“Once Beyond A Time” places a troubled family, who have moved from suburban Philadelphia to an old house in Black Mountain. This broken family soon discovers that their new home, nearly hidden from view on the side of a mountain, is no ordinary place. The family can see and speak with people who appear and disappear seemingly at will.  Each family member has their own unique experience with these people, some of whom seem to have lived there in the past and, more mysteriously, some will live there in the future.  Soon after their move into the old house, their eight-year-old son vanishes without a trace.

“Once Beyond A Time” is Published by Heritage Beacon, an imprint of Raleigh-based Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, and is available in eBook and print on Amazon and BN.com.
