Yorkshire Agency Designs New Interactive Website for Global Icons' Beer

July 6, 2015 - PRLog -- A Doncaster based creative agency has been commissioned to develop an interactive website for Trooper Beer (http://www.ironmaidenbeer.com/) – a beer created by one of the world’s leading rock bands – Iron Maiden.

Already responsible for developing the band’s main website, the beer, named ‘Trooper’ after one of the band’s hits, had grown in stature since its launch two years ago and now needed a cutting edge web presence to drive further awareness,  growth and social media following.

“Keane Creative were the natural choice to facilitate the creation of a brand new website for our beer brand as their innovation and can-do attitude has always rewarded us well on our main website,” commented Sarah Philp web administrator for Iron Maiden. “On this occasion we wanted a site that was wholly interactive with our social media sites and their approach to this rather unique way of creating content was amazing. We, and our fans, are thrilled with the result.”

The website was unusual in that, rather than specific page content being created on all platforms, the band wanted their social media feeds to drive the content allowing it to evolve so that it became more interactive with its extensive and loyal fan base. Posts on social media platforms tagged with specified hashtags can be used to populate any part of the website.

“This was the first time we have created a site that portrayed this level of interactivity with social media platforms,” commented Fiona Keane Managing Director Keane Creative. “The website gives fans the opportunity to help raise brand awareness, elevate the beer’s status in the real ale world and be part of the whole Trooper Beer experience.”

The beer, a deep golden ale with ABV 4.7%, offers strong malt and subtle lemon flavours using a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops. The result is an easy drinking ale popular with fans of the band the world over.

Keane Creative has worked with Iron Maiden for over eight years, winning the contract after fighting off nationwide competition. The team continue to manage the band’s websites and support their social media strategy.
