July 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Market leaders in the development and manufacture of pheromone lures and biopesticides, Russell IPM Ltd,  attended the 10th Conference of the IOBC/WPRS Working Group on the Integrated Protection of Stored Products in Zagreb, Croatia on the 18th-1st July, 2015.

The aim of the Conference was to inform stakeholders and interested parties of new research  and  development  on the  integrated  protection  of  stored products with particular emphasis on toxicant-free  preventive  measures and monitoring. Every  two  years  the  Conference brings together experts, scientists and industry professionals in the  protection and preservation of stored products.

Dr Nayem Hassan and Soliman Masaoudi, of Russell IPM, stated that they thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the public health professionals, academics and potential customers at the conference and felt that the four day conference was a huge success.

The Russell IPM team look forward to future collaborations with those they met on the day and were astounded by the number of visitors who were requesting Russell IPM's systems to protect their stored products. They exhibited a range of innovative technology such as the Xlure range and Dismate PE.

These products were developed in response to the fact that all stages of food production, transit and storage are susceptible to pest infestation. Therefore, steps must be taken to ensure food handling and processing manufacturers, service companies and distributors are proactive in monitoring and protecting against stored product insects.

To simplify this, Russell IPM developed the Xlure range -an innovative group of products that enable safe, effective and accurate monitoring of the full spectrum of stored product insects that infest foods and fabrics.

Also on show was Dismate-PE, a specially designed mating disruption system to combat the food moths Plodia and Ephestia. It is a non-toxic, residue free system that can safely be used in food processing and stored product areas to eliminate the infestation of common food moths.
