New San Antonio Miss Cover Girl Fall/Winter 2015-2016

SAN ANTONIO - July 2, 2015 - PRLog -- San Antonio, TX - April 26, 2015.  In front of a crowd of family and friends, Miss Jordan Rodriguez was crowned as Miss Cover Girl Fall 2015/Winter 2016 at The Josephine Theater.  Miss Rodriguez competed alongside 5 beautiful young ladies in 4 categories, Formal Introduction, 1960's Inspired Fashion Wear, Evening Gown, and On-stage Interview.  Miss Rodriguez stated in her formal introduction that she hoped to become an avid animal rights activist; a theme that carried into her 1960's inspired fashion as she represented renowned British animal rights activist, Ruth Harrison who inspired Britain’s first farm animal welfare legislation.  Miss Rodriguez stunned the judge and audience members in a beautiful white chiffon strapless and beaded evening gown.

Judging the event was Mrs. Lori Anderson, Kansas Jr. Miss.  Mrs. Anderson obtained a Vocal Performance and Music Education degree and a Mass Communications & Marketing degree from Kansas State University.  Mrs. Anderson has an extensive background in the radio and television industry and for the past 20 years she has been teaching students to sing and play various instruments.  Mrs. Anderson has auditioned for the NBC show The Voice twice making and even past several preliminary rounds at her Chicago audition.

Musical guest was Octavio de la Peña, a 2014 Musical Theater Graduate from NESA, North East School of the Arts in San Antonio and he is now pursuing a career in music as the lead guitarist and vocalist for his band, Theez Guyz.

Additional sponsors and supporters of the Miss Cover Girl Pageant were Fashion Photographer, Kenneth Osborn, Videographer, Jose Fernandez of Jose Fernandez Photo-studios, and Minuteman Press.

The Miss Cover Girl prize package included:  a $200 dollar cash prize, a silver crown and charm bracelet, Apple TV w/1080p, a year’s supply of makeup and skin care product from Mary Kay, and various travel and participation opportunities to do community service at many American/Latino cultural events.
