SGS Expert to Hold Workshop on Supply Chain Mapping at AAFA Traceability Conference

Supply chain mapping is essential to provide better understanding and reduce risks. In July 21, 2015 in Nashville, USA, the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) will organize a traceability conference on supply chain mapping to help build visibility and ensure transparency in supply chains as well as meet global compliance regulations.

The traceability workshop will present the following interactive program:

- A "how-to" approach to mapping one’s supply chain,

- A focus on the importance of trusting and verifying data,

- Strategies for communicating with supply chain partners,

- Lessons learned and success stories.

The Traceability Conference will be presented in conjunction with AAFA's Environmental, Product Safety, and Social Responsibility Committee meetings. Workshops will be held by supply chain and sustainability experts and specialists.

Panel Discussion on Supply Chain Mapping and Verifying Data

Xavier Vital, Global Environmental Services Manager at SGS will co-host an expert panel discussion on “Verifying the Data: CSR, Conflict Minerals, Raw Materials.” Success in mapping a supply chain is trusting and verifying data. During this session, presenters will explore solutions and strategies to help manage multiple channels, issues, and data points.
