CHARLOTTE, N.C. - June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- In the wake of the "not guilty" verdicts in the cases involving police officer incidents of young black youth all over the country, there is one question that remains in the community: "What can we do to better help our children?" "What can we teach or families on how to interact with local police in our community?" The North Carolina Local Barber Association presents: "Hands Up, What Now" Town Hall Meeting and Let's Talk Tour in an effort to get answers answered and info on what your rights are. The meeting will double as a "Let's Talk Tour" kick off and will take place on February 1, 2015 from 3-5pm at Greenville Recreation Center located at 1330 Spring St. Charlotte, NC 28206.

The North Carolina Local Barber Association will partner with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department in an effort of receiving honest dialog from community law enforcement on how the citizens in the community should conduct themselves when coming in contact with situations with police officers.

There will be a panel discussion with recruiters such as Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Cadets, Charlotte Mecklenburg Sheriff Department Explorers, Charlotte Mecklenburg Fire Department Cadets and area Barber Schools. The town hall meeting will kick off the "Let's Talk" tour that will visit area community recreation centers with dates and locations to be announced at a later date.
