ORLANDO, Fla. - June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- The National Business Incubation Association (NBIA), an international non-profit organization and global advocate for stakeholders within entrepreneur-driven economic ecosystems, launched its new website today. The new website, which replaced the former version in use for many years, showcases a bright and modern design with a mobile-friendly display. In addition to the design change, the new website also includes updated membership, education and partnership offerings.

NBIA members, and other site visitors, will enjoy navigating the new website on any device as it is now mobile responsive. This enhanced web platform ensures that the site can be optimally viewed on computers, tablets and smartphones – an essential and long-awaited feature needed to meet the expectations of today’s internet users. The website also follows usability best practices with its clean layout and streamlined navigation.

“I knew the website would be a top priority once I joined the organization,” says Joy Lee, NBIA Director of Marketing and Content. “The previous site was dated, and we owed it to our members to provide them with a user-friendly website that would make it easy for them to quickly find the information they need. I was committed to delivering this new site as soon as possible for our members, and to ensure we could deploy the new offerings before entering the last quarter of our fiscal year. I am thrilled at the product we produced in eight short weeks.”

The new website gave the association the opportunity to update its offerings in several areas. Under membership, changes were made to better align with the current state of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and NBIA member demographics. There is now a rural membership category, which provides a more cost-effective option for programs located in areas where funding and sponsors are typically limited. Another new category is the association partner membership, which is specifically for organizations that are statewide, or based internationally, and serve those managing entrepreneurial support programs.

Educational training was heavily revamped in preparation for the site launch. The Business Incubation Management Certificate Program was updated to better meet the needs of professionals seeking training to enhance their skills in managing an incubator or other related program. The updates include two new courses, and revised content on the other two required courses. Train-the-trainer courses were added to the curriculum to offer program managers curated content to enable them to offer facilitated boot camps and workshops on the topics entrepreneurs need to know in order to grow successful companies. In addition, the a la carte courses were expanded to offer advanced or specialized training based on the latest trends in the industry.

Finally, the partner program was completely overhauled to attract a wide range of partner types. The goal of the revised program is to provide the association additional revenue sources, while also driving greater value for members. The new program includes levels that will align with large enterprise companies seeking deep strategic alliances, as well as small companies looking to gain more exposure for their products and services.

NBIA President and CEO Kirstie Chadwick hints that more exciting changes are on the horizon for the association. “There will be additional changes deployed over the next 12 months as we continue on the path to drive exceptional value for members. As an organization, we are also working on long-term branding initiatives that better convey who and what we are. Stay tuned for more announcements later this summer.”
