Shining Light on Human Trafficking in Wisconsin at Farmers Market

PEWAUKEE, Wis. - June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Redeem and Restore Center saw an opportunity to reach the public with their important mission at the Pewaukee Farmers Market by selling donated handmade items. They have a variety of items: pallet art, cloth purses, wallets, photo art and more that is for sale at the Farmers Market held at Spring Creek Church on Capitol Dr every Wednesday from 3:30-7pm. All proceeds will support the work of Redeem & Restore Center who are dedicated to establishing a long-term safe home that provides mental, physical, emotional and spiritual healing for women victims of Human Trafficking.

Human trafficking is a thriving industry in the United States because of an unending supply of vulnerable people and the increasing demand of buyers. And it has been documented in all 72
counties of Wisconsin. It is an overwhelming complex problem because of overlapping issues like: runaways, foster care, financially desperate, drug addiction, broken families, ignorance, etc.

"If people do not realize the depth of this problem, and that it is happening in our backyard, how can they help?", commented Krista Hull, the Founder and Director of Redeem and Restore Center. Their plan in reaching people in Pewaukee and all throughout Wisconsin is that awareness leads to prevention, intervention and restoration.
Krista also said "Everyone can do
something, and each detail is important."
