JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the official breast cancer awareness campaign funded by the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is leading the fight to end breast cancer – investing more in cancer research to find, prevent, treat and cure cancer than any other non-governmental organization. And we are leading the charge in Jacksonville. With over 6,000 walkers last year, we look forward to a large increase in numbers.

Last year, Florida was ranked as #2 in the country for money raised!! We

are calling on the city of Jacksonville to help us reach the top.

Jacksonville corporations, community organizations, churches and

residents will be making strides together to promote breast cancer

awareness and to honor breast cancer survivors and caregivers. We alo proud to announce  our Event Chair as Elana Schrader , Vice President of Product at Florida Blue and our Honorary Chair as Dawn Lopez, Reporter for Action News.

Our Walk check –in will begin at 7:30 am, and at 9 am we will kick-off our non-

competitive walk with  live djs, special performances, and more!

Join us August 6th, 2015 for our annual Making Strides against Breast Cancer kick off event. Complimentary dinner provided. RSVP required by July 31st, 2015.

About Making Strides Against Breast Cancer:
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer or MSABC is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting more than 300 communities to finish the fight. Every breast cancer walk and event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to honor those who have battled breast cancer, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and race money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with research, information, services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.

About the American Cancer Society:
For more than 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. Together with millions of our supporters worldwide, we help people stay well, help people get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer.
