Deep Well Services adds state-of-the-art 15K, 250 jack snubbing unit

ZELIENOPLE, Pa. - June 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Deep Well Services continues to add innovative and efficient new equipment to the growing oil well company based in Pittsburgh.

    The latest in a line of state-of-the-art equipment to arrive in the basin is a 15K, 250 jack snubbing unit that will enable Deep Well Services to better prepare wells to produce oil and natural gas after the Frac is complete. The unit arrived on June 27.

    “It’s an opportunity for us to get a 15K unit in the basin full time,” said John Sabo, Chief Operating Officer at DWS. “This will be the next step for us to handle even higher pressure wells that are out there throughout the basin. It’s an opportunity to highlight our talent and expertise and take it to the next level for our customers.”

    DWS consistently has raised the bar. In May, the company invested in a 35-foot, standalone snubbing unit. “This unit will increase safety and efficiency substantially on multi-state longer lateral jobs with faster rig up, powerful rotary and swivel gallery system for drill out efficiencies, single pick between wells, and top Tier Talent,” Sabo said of the 35-foot standalone.

    The company also recently added a snubbing simulator to improve preparedness, safety and education about the benefits of snubbing. The simulator enabled DWS to build upon its reputation for hiring and training local talent which can capitalize on the availability of family-sustaining jobs. It also has been very beneficial for customer demonstrations, education and training.

    In February, DWS added a 10K 285 standalone snubbing unit and a 112-foot, 265,000-pull service rig.

    The multiple upgrades, including the latest addition of the 15K, 250 jack and another Service Rig set to arrive in July will enable DWS to increase its number of employees to 190 by the end of 2015.

      The company anticipates a 258 percent profit increase for the 2014 fiscal year and total revenue of approximately $28 million, DWS President Mark Marmo said.
