Advanced Mineral Recovery Technologies Restructures for GrowthBuilding on Breakthrough in Treatment of Toxic "Red Mud" from Alumina Production
On June 12, in order to prepare AMRT for growth and possible listing over the next few years, the AMRT Board took action to remove Mr. Dimitrios Sykokis as President and Member of the Board of AMRT, and to terminate all licenses to use the AMRT technology that previously had been issued to Innovative Metallurgical Solutions Ltd. (IMS). Mr. Sykokis will remain a minority shareholder of AMRT, in addition to pursuing other business interests. A search for a new President for AMRT has been initiated. Dr. James A. Walker, Chairman and principal shareholder of AMRT, remarked: “While proper attention is finally being given to renewable energy and climate change, our civilization must also address the environmental and social issues of minerals production and disposal to be truly sustainable. We believe AMRT is now well positioned to make a major contribution to those goals.” Dr. Walker, a noted wind energy pioneer, is Vice Chairman of EDF Renewable Energy and past Chairman of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA). President Obama used Dr. Walker’s research in his 2015 State of the Union Message announcing that “America is number one in wind energy.” Dr. Walker is also working in water policy in the U.S. and sustainable development in Africa. AMRT’s technology can efficiently process EAF steel and stainless steel dust, chrome ore fines, copper, cobalt, tin (including medium grade Cassiterite) AMRT is a member of the Center for Resource Recovery and Recycling (CR3) established by the Colorado School of Mines, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and K.U. Leuven. Contact Dr, James A. Walker drwalker@amrtlimited.com +17605856967 Photo: https://www.prlog.org/ End
