SCS Engineers Welcomes Clement Mesavage to the Richmond Office

RICHMOND, Va. - June 29, 2015 - PRLog -- SCS Engineers, environmental consultants and contractors, is pleased to welcome Clement Mesavage, REPA, as our newest Project Director focusing on environmental solutions for the midstream portion of the oil and gas industries. Mr. Mesavage brings decades of professional experience in environmental consulting; and he is an expert witness for matters involving bulk liquid terminal, bulk plant, and pipeline facilities.

Mr. Mesavage’s experience includes: environmental health, safety, and security compliance auditing, incident forensics, and benchmarking; dry and liquid/gas bulk liquid security; variance, loss fire, and explosion consulting; and product quality control matters, e.g. jet fuel QA/QC associated with the storage, handling, and transfer of hundreds of types of oil, gas, and chemical liquids transported in tanks by tank truck, rail tank car, interstate and intrastate pipeline, and tank barge and tank ships in the U.S. and abroad.

“Clem’s background working with both federal agencies and private business makes him a good fit for our clients,” said SCS Engineers Vice President and National Expert in Innovative Technologies and Hazardous Waste, Jeff Marshall. “Sustainable solutions must meet four criteria today to be successful: agency compliance, client operational conformance, industry standard consensus, and environmental protection and training.”

Mr. Mesavage earned his Master of Science degree in civil engineering at MIT; a Master degree in public administration from the University of Southern California, LA; and a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering at Purdue University. He is a member of API Standard 2350 Tank Overfill Protection Committee; the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Chemical Transportation Advisory Committee; the Virginia DEQ Regulatory Action Committee; and the API Subcommittee on AST Standards and Conference Planning.  He was a Registered Environmental Assessor (REA) in California for 25 years.
