QRyde and CTAA join forces to create the National Volunteer Transportation Marketplace

LOWELL, Mass. - June 29, 2015 - PRLog -- QRyde and the National Volunteer Transportation Center (NVTC), an initiative of the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), are proud to announce their partnership to help increase the role of Volunteer Transportation in America. The mix of the NVTC’s and CTAA’s expertise and reach in Community Transportation in general, and Volunteer transportation specifically; combined with QRyde’s expertise in software and systems design, will combine to bring a whole new look to volunteer transportation.

The purpose of the NVTC is to promote and support the concept and practice of volunteer transportation, which includes volunteer driver programs, shared vehicle utilization, and ride sharing initiatives. Its focus is on information gathering related to volunteer transportation programs and activities, Identification and promotion of promising practices, collection and development of informational and technical resources, planning and delivery of on-line educational programs, and communication with volunteer and volunteer transportation initiatives across America

QRyde’s Volunteer Transportation Marketplace is a cloud-based service designed to make it simple for Volunteer agencies and driver programs to run. Online ride booking, driver management and manifest download are just part of the offering. QRyde is mobilizing the world, one community at a time.
