Uniform Distribution for Vedanta's Khushi Child Care Centres

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - June 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Thoothukudi, June 27, 2015 - Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Limited has distributed uniform for kids in 11 Khushi (Vedanta) Child Care Centres for 343 children on 26th June, 2015.

Vedanta's Khushi Child Care Centres was started in 2000 with an objective to work for the holistic development of disadvantaged children of 2.5 to 6 years of age living in out-of-reach areas. The first Khushi (Vedanta) Child Care Centre was started at Mattakadai, Thoothukudi in the sphere of Sterlite Copper's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to focus on the nutrition, health and primary education aspects of the children. Now, there are 11 Khushi (Vedanta) Child Care Centres in and around Thoothukudi which are Attimarapetti, Bharathi Nagar, Raju Nagar, M Saveriar Puram, Mattakadai, KVK Saminagar, Kumaran Nagar, Puthukumaran Nagar, Jamir Viyas Nagar, Thalamuthu Nagar and SBI Colony.
