NEW YORK - June 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Once upon a time, Billy Idol sung it's “a nice day for a white wedding.” Brides these days, however, are making their grand entrance marching to a different beat. And, making bold and beautiful new choices for their bridal gown.

Black once the color of choice for wedding garb of hard-rock or Goth celebs is gaining widespread appeal.  Black is the new white, and a wedding a nice day (or evening) for a little black magic.  Fashion designer Michael Porter's black corset bridal gown evokes romance and sensuality, and manages to display both class and sass.

A potion of satin, lace and flowing lines, Porter's gown arouses a love-at-first-sight reaction. The black corset gown was designed, Porter said, to compliment the bride and “enhance her beauty.”

The body of the dress is a soft black satin blend, and the corset top styled to compliment the bride's curves and bust. The lacy midnight corset and train are set off with glittering embellishments.

“I am a big fan of black pieces,” states Michael Porter, fashion designer and founder of Enerve Fashion. “I believe that every woman has an edgy side to her. White is always looked at as innocent and simple, and women are not only innocent and simple...they are more.”  “To be honest, I believe that women are sexy, strong, confident, smart and silly. So, out with the white and in with the black.”

Porter has been designing for the last 15 years. He got his first taste of success when he opted to forgo the traditional tuxedo for personally-tailored formal wear.

While he designs for both the CTC Designs and Enerve label, Porter is moving away from the urban apparel of CTC to concentrate on the edgy couture at Enerve. The black bridal corset gown is a show-stopper in the Enerve collection.
