By: trcutler Leaders in business, government, and academia assert that education in the STEM subjects is vital not only to sustaining the innovation capacity of the United States but also as a foundation for successful employment, including but not limited to work in the STEM fields. After receiving an assignment in school to write about the water cycle from the point of view of a water droplet, Lily’s Adventure began. The talented young author quickly turned the one paragraph assignment into a full-length story, incorporating the science and lessons through dynamic and charming characters. The illustrations are equally delightful. Lexi worked with her Aunt Danielle, an amazing and talented artist to illustrate the book. The two worked together to capture the fun and interesting path of Lily Droplet’s Amazing Adventure. During the course of the book, Lily experiences all the wonders of the water cycle. Lily Droplet’s Amazing Adventure teaches the concepts of evaporation, condensation, and precipitation; Lexi Schwartzberg is building a strong following of young readers and educators worldwide, by sharing her creative talent and curiosity. Elements of the Common Core are addressed via informational text, making Lily’s Adventure a perfect complement to early STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) curriculum.
