Bryce Harper Named Hickok Belt(R) Award Winner for May 2015

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - June 26, 2015 - PRLog -- BRYCE HARPER Named Hickok Belt(R) Award Winner for May 2015

ROCHESTER, NY - Bryce Harper, right fielder for Major League Baseball's Washington Nationals, has been named the Hickok Belt(R) winner for the month of May 2015.  Voting was conducted by a select panel of members of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA).  The voters selected Harper based on his torrid hitting throughout the month of May.  His performance at the plate included 13 home runs, 28 RBI, a .360 batting average and a .884 slugging percentage.

Other finalists for the month of April in order of how the NSSA voters ranked them included: LeBron James (basketball), Victor Espinosa (horse racing), Floyd Mayweather (boxing), Juan Pablo Montoya (auto racing), Rory McIlroy (golf), Rickie Fowler (golf), Nikita Kucherov (hockey), Lionel Messi (soccer), and Novak Djokovic (tennis).

Harper's selection at the Hickok Belt(R) Award winner for the month of May 2015 recognizes him as "the best of the best" in professional sports for the month and makes him the fourth candidate eligible to receive the overall Hickok Belt(R) Award for 2015, joining Tom Brady, James Harden and Jordan Spieth.
