Follow on Google News | Gerald Peters Goldmine, now Gerald Peters, triples store size, doubles brand offeringsBy: Gerald Peters Gold Mine Gerald Peters Proprietor, Jerry Amerosi, has built his business and reputation with the customers always forefront in his mind. “In 1982 I entered the jewelry business at Caesar’s Bay Bazaar. I began just showcasing children’s charms. As the years passed I began to understand and appreciate what my customers were looking for and adapted my business to meet their needs. Consumers are becoming more and more educated and are choosing jewelers based on their experience and quality of their offerings. That is how we designed and outfitted this new location,” said Amerosi. The decision to change Gerald Peters Goldmine to simply Gerald Peters with the location change stems from the immense growth the business has experienced over the years. “I appreciate and am thankful for my customers every day. For 33 years, they have guided me. They wanted gold, so I offered them gold. Then they wanted diamonds, so we introduced diamonds. Because of our customers we are no longer just a “goldmine.” Gerald Peters Goldmine was voted Staten Island’s Readers’ Choice for Best Jewelry Store in 2014. The new spacious location is home to new additional high-end brands exclusive to Gerald Peters on Staten Island but will stay true to the family-feel the business always had since the original Brooklyn location opened in 1982. “Triple the size. Double the brands. Same family.” had been the slogan throughout the process of the creation of Gerald Peters. The new store will remain operated and run by Jerry and Vice Presidents –his two sons after whom the store was named, Gerald and Peter. “The entire staff had been anxiously waiting for the opening of this new location because they are aware of how it was designed with our customers in mind. It is a store unlike any other found on Staten Island and we’re so excited to finally open its doors to the public. We knew for some time that we needed to expand but we waited for the right location and perfect amount of space to do it the way we always dreamed of. The store is incredible and will leave our customers in awe,” said Gerald Amerosi Jr. To accommodate the bridal component of the business which has doubled over the last few years, the new location has a private viewing room for customers to discuss and examine important jewelry pieces they are interested in purchasing – such as engagement rings and wedding bands– in a relaxing and private environment. Gerald Peters’ new offering of brands include Mikimoto Pearls, LeVian, Charles Garnier, Gabriel, A. Jaffe, Kirk Kara, Oris, and Baume & Mercier. End
