By: Dream Giveaways The Award Ceremony took place at Lingenfelter Motor Sports in Brighton, MI. on February 28, 2011. Mr. Landgren, joined by his 14 year-old son Nick, was handed the keys to both amazing cars by Ken Lingenfelter, owner of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and the Lingenfelter Collection – a renowned collection of Corvettes, muscle and exotic cars. Members of the press were on hand as well as representatives from Beaumont Children’s hospital and Hurley Medical Center, two of the over 150 participating “Hero” hospitals. The hospital representatives told heartfelt stories of the children that had received the “Hero” award and the importance of continued support of this program, for the children they serve. During the Award Ceremony, Mr. Lingenfelter was already excited about lending his support for the upcoming 2011 Corvette Dream Giveaway. Mr. Landgren, who donates to various charities, first entered the 2010 Corvette Dream Giveaway in August. But, it wasn’t until he responded to a December email with a $100 donation that his luck finally came full circle. When he received the phone call telling him one of the entries from his second order was the winner, Brian, suspecting a prank from a friend, simply responded: “you’re kidding?” Though he’s excited to have won these amazing cars, Mr. Landgren said he was especially happy to have helped a worthy cause.
