HNTB named design firm of the year by ENR Texas & Louisiana

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- KANSAS CITY, Mo. – ENR Texas & Louisiana, a leading regional construction magazine, honored HNTB Corporation as the publication’s “Design Firm of the Year.”

HNTB was recognized for multiple recent accomplishments in Texas and Louisiana:

Through its ability to develop timely, innovative and viable alternatives to get projects and programs up and running, HNTB has increased its staff by 22 percent since 2012 and significantly expanded its footprint in Texas and Louisiana.
The firm’s expansion has been propelled by a focus on emerging infrastructure needs, such as disaster recovery and work related to the transportation needs of the energy industry, as well as understanding trends in the transportation market such as intelligent transportation systems and congestion management strategies.
A variety of vital infrastructure projects in Texas such as the U.S. 290 rebuild project in Houston, the MoPac improvement project in Austin, the Border Highway West project in El Paso, the DARTSOC-3 Blue Line Extension, the I-35 Mobility program and many others.  In Louisiana, the firm worked on the Baton rouge-New Orleans Intercity Passenger Rail Feasibility Study and Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s Paths to Progress programs, among many others.
