PharmAcademic™ Launched for ASHP-Accredited Residency Programs

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- JUNE 25, 2015 – ANN ARBOR, MICH. – McCreadie Group announces the launch of the expanded version of PharmAcademic™, its web-based pharmacy education management software, to include the support of pharmacy resident evaluations and facilitate documentation of a systems-based approach to training, a requirement under the new ASHP (Association of Health-System Pharmacists) residency standards.

PharmAcademic and its companion product, PharmPortfolio, have been helping colleges of pharmacy manage experiential education, curricular outcomes, assessments and student portfolios since 2009.

In 2007, McCreadie Group partnered with ASHP to offer ResiTrak, McCreadie Group’s residency management software, to all ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency programs. In the fall of 2014, ASHP announced its selection of PharmAcademic to replace ResiTrak in a newly expanded application.

As a result, McCreadie Group has added the functionality of ResiTrak to PharmAcademic enabling the software to support both college of pharmacy and residency-specific requirements. For residency program management, PharmAcademic is licensed solely by ASHP and is available, as a member benefit, to accredited residency programs.

In colleges of pharmacy and residencies where PharmAcademic is used, program directors and preceptors can now use one application to manage both students and residents. The combined solution enhances McCreadie Group’s ability to meet the evolving needs of pharmacy educators to demonstrate student and resident learning.
