Nonprofits Receive $10,500 in Donations From Orange County Real Estate Agents

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Best Day Foundation, dedicated to helping children with special needs build confidence and self-esteem, and Crystal Cove Alliance, committed to the protection and preservation of the Crystal Cove State Park Historic District, plus other Orange County nonprofits will receive donations totaling $10,500 from The Charitable Foundation, an organization run by local real estate agents.

The Foundation’s Orange County chapter, comprised of agents and staff from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, donated the proceeds from its May “Seas the Day!” fundraiser. About 150 agents, employees and friends participated in the event that included a silent auction and raffle aboard an Electra Cruises yacht “cruising for a cause” in Newport Harbor.

“It was so awesome to see our agents and managers taking time out of their busy schedules in support of The Charitable Foundation and its beneficiaries. It was a perfect evening of giving and fun,” said board chair Chris Perko.

“Our board found it very meaningful and rewarding to see so many attendees having a terrific time working together to raise much-needed funds for outstanding local charities,” added board secretary Meghan Kelly.

Best Day Foundation (www.bestdayfoundation.org) is a volunteer organization that helps special-needs children through safe, fun, adventure activities including surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, and snow sports.

Crystal Cove Alliance (www.crystalcovealliance.org (http://www.crystalcovealliance.org/)) is dedicated to preserving the cultural, natural and historic resources of the Crystal Cove State Park Historic District, its beach, and the marine life refuge. The alliance promotes educational and interpretive activities of the California State Park System.
