PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- “People Development Expert” and author Maria Higgins will give one of four keynote addresses at the first annual Soul Healing Conference, to be held Sept. 25 through 27 at Callaway Gardens (17800 U.S. 27).

For a limited time, the conference will give away Higgins’ new book “Grab Fear By the Neck” (Clear Steps Group, 2015) to the first 50 people who purchase full registrations to the conference.

Higgins’ new book is an interactive journey of self-discovery that encourages readers to confront the fears that paralyze their forward progress. Higgins wrote the book after overcoming her own fears and finding fulfillment. She later re-wrote her life script and became a speaker, trainer, minister and coach. The principles and techniques outlined in “Grab Fear By the Neck” offer readers a blueprint to start living life on the other side of fear.

Keynote Address

Higgins’ keynote address will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 during the dinner gala from 8 to 11 p.m. In her presentation, also titled “Grab Fear By the Neck,” Higgins will discuss how fear is part of any person’s natural toolbox of emotions, but when fear paralyzes progress, it has a negative effect on a person’s life. The presentation will provide tools to identify and confront the fears that paralyze progress in four key areas.

Higgins was a shy, antisocial introvert gripped by social fear until she broke free and discovered her gift for public speaking. Her career began in 1997 as a corporate trainer in the IT department for the American Cancer Society. She continued working as a corporate trainer for companies such as Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Refreshments and a few smaller companies. In 2007, after company reorganization, Higgins left corporate training to found Clear Steps Group, Inc. (www.ClearStepsGroup.com), a people development company that provides programs and products to equip people with the skills they need to succeed both personally and professionally. She spent two years in the National Speakers Association (NSA) and began to build a presence throughout the United States, speaking to encourage others to succeed.

Higgins is a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), Advanced Communicator and Competent Leader with Toastmasters International and a Licensed Minister at her home church, Harvesttime Apostolic Ministries in Riverdale, Georgia. She is the author of several self-help books and CDs, including “Grab Fear by the Neck” (www.GrabFear.com) and “Money is Never the Problem.”

“We are honored to have such a motivational author grace our conference goers with her wisdom during our dinner gala,” said Shatakia Niles, spokesperson for the Soul Healing Conference. “Listening to Higgins speak is a real treat. We know her presentation will be a highlight of the event.”
