Montana Physicians Graduate from MMA Physician Leadership Effectiveness Program

 
WHITEFISH, Mont. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Whitefish, MT – The Montana Medical Association’s (MMA) 2014/2015 Physician Leadership Effectiveness Program came to a close following the graduation ceremony on May 15, 2015.  The ceremony, held at The Lodge in Whitefish, recognized twenty Montana physician graduates of the high-impact program.

“These graduates join the ranks of other physician alumni who are thought leaders throughout Montana.  They will stand together to embrace the new and emerging expectations of physicians in our health care delivery system and drive change that can lead to better patient care,” stated Jean Branscum, Montana Medical Association Executive Vice President.

The Program is a top shelf, high-impact learning platform geared toward helping physicians be more successful by developing select leadership competencies, building an awareness and understanding of health care issues facing Montana, and increasing professional satisfaction.

The MMA is currently accepting applications for the 2015/16 Physician Leadership Effectiveness Program.   The program was built for Montana physicians by Montana physicians.  Participants develop leadership competencies and learn practical and action-oriented skills to effectively lead in their practice or healthcare organization during seven individual sessions, including:

·         Financial Stewardship

·         Relationship Management

·         Emotional Intelligence

·         The Influence of Outcomes

·         Team Engagement Strategies

·         Effective Transition and Change Management

·         Advanced Critical Thinking Skills – The Leadership Perspective
