Multiple Sclerosis Coalition applauds SCOTUS ruling on ACA

HACKENSACK, N.J. - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- The member organizations of the Multiple Sclerosis Coalition (MSC) applaud today’s ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States in King v. Burwell, which confirms the right of consumers to receive subsidies under the Affordable Care Act, regardless of the state they live in.

This ruling is particularly welcome news to MS patients, as MS is an expensive disease to treat. “MS ranks second only to congestive heart failure in terms of costliness compared with other chronic conditions,” said Lisa Skutnik, President of the MSC. “These subsidies are vital to make coverage affordable for many families affected by multiple sclerosis.”
