Women’s Organization Launched Campaign For Exhibit

The First Women’s Equality Exhibit For Women’s Equality Day

CHICAGO - June 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Women For Action, a Chicago-area 501c3 organization recognizes the achievements and advancements made by women. By noting women-firsts, award winning subjects and other women of significance through its interview series, the organization creates awareness about their accomplishments and obstacles to aid in closing the gap between genders and cultures.

As a further commitment to this effort, Women For Action proposes the Women’s Equality Exhibit, a collaborative initiative in honor of its Change.org petition which  launched on November 4, 2014 to elevate August 26th - Women’s Equality Day to a federal holiday.  It outlines plans to create awareness about important women who are sorely under-recognized for their efforts. It also ensures a reflection of contemporary America by spotlighting women leaders from different backgrounds and cultures to coincide with a mission of diversity and inclusion. The objective is to spotlight women change makers who pose as new models for 21st century young women and girls. The Women’s Equality Exhibit will display the work of women such as Bonnie-Jill Laflin, the first and only woman NBA Scout, Shuli Eshel, an award winning documentary filmmaker whose work has contributed to the women’s rights movement, politics and history in the United States and Israel and Audra Fordin, Founder of Women Auto Know©, an educational innovation for women car-owners.

The exhibit is currently raising funds on Indiegogo and is expected to launch on Women’s Equality Day this year in Chicago. As the fundraising campaign states, "...regardless of the location of the Women's Equality Exhibit's first launch, its success catapults a mission to build others in different cities." Also, it is currently interviewing women leaders to comprise a total of 15 stations to feature contributions made by women.
