By: Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Co, LLC

NEW YORK - June 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Drugs, alcohol, and driving do not mix! The consequences of mixing them could be fatal and lead to unimaginable sorrow. Readers of this book will be better educated on the level of skills impairment caused by drivers using alcohol and other drugs when driving. The authors were able to vividly illustrate new research that screens and evaluates drivers for psychoactive drugs and alcohol use.

Portable electronic digital screening devices including “Oral Screen” were used to establish the prevalence of substance abuse drugs taken by drivers in select cities in Nigeria. The drivers in Nigeria are not any different from other countries Globally. Safety can be impaired by using these drugs, wherever you are located.

This bookpresents their epidemiological study of Nigerian road users’ consumption of psychoactive substances, while also examining the use of driving simulators to evaluate skills impairment after the subjects drank alcohol. Resulting unsafe driving actions correlated with high levels of Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC).

Blood, saliva, urine, and other biological fluids were screened in the research, and the findings were validated by application of a Field Impairment Test (FIT) or by modified clinical test of impairment.
